Summary

In the spring of 2024, 3 classmates, including myself, collaborated with a client to develop the brand strategy and identity for an AI tool designed to help young men find confidence. Using the client's mind map as a foundation, we rapidly developed a brand identity and concepts for an app that would later become "Ace: Your Social Wingman." Our goal was to provide a supportive and empowering tool that got people out of their comfort zone

What Is Ace

ACE disrupts the self-improvement space by using AI to revolutionize how users build confidence and master social skills.

  • AI-Powered Social Scenarios: The app uses AI to analyze and provide personalized guidance for various social situations, helping users approach interactions confidently.

  • Adaptive Confidence Building Challenges: Through AI-driven challenges, users can practice and enhance their social skills in a fun and engaging way. The app adjusts the difficulty based on their progress.

  • Real-Time AI Feedback: ACE delivers real-time feedback on social interactions using AI analysis, allowing users to refine their approach and continuously improve themselves.

This mind map shows the initial brief from our client, an experienced software engineer. He had a clear vision for an AI-powered dating app, detailing its features and user flows. However, the project needed a strong brand identity and voice, which is where our team came from. Over the next month, we worked alongside our client to develop a brand that could foster his ambition.

Inspiration

ACE’s brand identity draws heavily from the Top Gun movies. Just as the film's Top Gun pilots are tested to reach their full potential, ACE taps into its users’ potential, helping them grow, form meaningful connections, and overcome personal limits.

The wings wrapped around an A symbolize each individual's limitless potential, inspiring them to take flight and rise above their fears and anxiety.

Our second objective for the ACE project is to bring the brand identity to life through wireframes and high-fidelity concepts for the app. This ensures that the app’s design, from UI to user experience, aligns with the brand’s tone and personality. These designs act as blueprints, offering a clear vision of the final product.
